The gala launches the spring exhibit, which will run from May 7 through September 7.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870 by a group of American citizens-businessmen and financiers as well as leading artists and thinkers of the day-who wanted to create a museum to bring art and art education to the American people. Coinciding with the Met's 150th anniversary, the exhibition will draw inspiration from philosopher Henri Bergson's concept of la durée ("time that flows, accumulates, and is indivisible") and will explore how clothing can conflate past, present and future.

But Manchester City also boast a stunning attack in Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and more. The Reds are leading the Premier League table with 31 points from 11 games, six points ahead of Manchester City .

"This exhibition will consider the ephemeral nature of fashion, employing flashbacks and fast-forwards to reveal how it can be both linear and cyclical", said Max Hollein , the director of the Met in New York City. The forthcoming exhibition was inspired by the 1992 Sally Potter film Orlando, which was based on the novel by Virginia Woolf. "It not only reflects and represents the spirit of the times, but it also changes and develops with the times".

Bolton will divide the 160 women's pieces featured in the exhibition into two collections - the first, black looks, and the second, mostly white with bursts of colour. "Through a series of chronologies, the exhibition will use the concept of duration to analyze the temporal twists and turns of fashion history".

Wintour clearly has no hard feelings because she selected Streep as a co-chair along with Lin-Manuel Miranda and fellow Oscar-winner Emma Stone. The theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion, modelled after a Susan Sontag essay of the same name, and it gave celebrities the chance to really let loose and let their sartorial instincts run wild.
