New album Dua Linden Future Nostalgia will be released early

The 24-year-old singer confirmed Monday on Instagram that she is going to launch the album Friday, one week forward of its unique launch date.

Queer ally Dua Lipa announced she is releasing her new album early in a tearful Instagram Live video, saying she hopes it makes people smile and dance during the coronavirus pandemic.

"I'm not sure if I'm even doing the right thing", she continued, "but I think the thing we need the most at the moment is music, and we need joy and we need to be trying to see the light".

Future Nostalgia is the follow-up to Lipa's self-titled debut album, which earned her two Brit Awards and the Grammy for best new artist.

Dua Lipa hopes that this album lives up to the expectations of all the fans who have been anticipating about it for long!

Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia was slated to release on April 3, 2020. The album was also leaked online yesterday (March 22), another possible reason for releasing the album earlier.

"I hope the album brings you some happiness", she said, "and I hope it makes you smile, and I hope it makes you dance. I just want to make people happy".

Both celebrities met during the rehearsals for the MAMA and it was there that Dua Lipa could see that Hwasa had a sweet, amusing and highly charismatic personality, in addition, she was surprised with the abilities of Hwasa who, from her perspective, took the song New Rules and made it her own by giving it its style and charm.

Responding to fans' questions, Dua said she was going "going to have to get inventive" with promoting the record and its singles in the current climate.

The star also announced that the third single of the album and the clip Break My Heart, will be released this Wednesday, and told fans about the postponement of her tour due to pandemic coronavirus.
