After a successful 90Hz display venture, the company is now all set to take the display experience a notch higher with 120Hz refresh rate panels.

Along with the OxygenOS 10.0.5 update for the OnePlus 7T, the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro have also started receiving Open Bets 5 upgrades for the users who enrolled in the beta program. It's not the first smartphone to come with a 120Hz display. Earlier this year, Asus launched the Asus ROG Phone 2 with a 120Hz display and even Google went ahead and launched the Pixel 4 series with 120Hz displays.

Talking about the previous year, both McLaren and OnePlus joined hands and came up with a McLaren Edition of the most popular smartphone, the OnePlus 6T.

The list includes the likes of Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung. But it seems that the title of the only smartphone with 120Hz screen is going to be taken away from the phone because it has been reported that OnePlus is also using a similar display for its upcoming flagship. However, a 120Hz display and the latest and greatest SoC means that buyers may have to shell out more for the upcoming smartphone.

Renders of the OnePlus 8 Pro were leaked last month.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are expected to arrive in April or May. Starting with design technology, pretty much will remain the same.

In an earlier tip-off, Max J hadclaimedthat OnePlus would announce its upcoming flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, sometime in the second quarter of 2020. The report further suggests that the device would feature a full-screen design, like its predecessor, albeit with a punch-hole front camera and not the pop-up selfie camera solution as seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro.

The same tipster leaked the renders of OnePlus 8 Pro.

The 8 Pro is coming with the same curved Quad-HD+ display as the OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus 8 Pro has four cameras at the back.
