WhatsApp Business App to Get New Feature Called ‘Catalog’

If you add products catalogues to your WhatsApp Business profile, it will allow customers to see most of the details about your product right inside the app.

This will save users and businesses time wasted sending images of products, their respective price tags and their specifications.

"Catalogues are a mobile storefront for businesses to showcase and share their goods so that people can easily browse and discover something they would like to buy". This is a more professional-looking way for businesses to engage with their clients and keep them invested in the chat.

The feature is available starting today on both Android and iPhone in Brazil, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the US. Along with India, WhatsApp Business App will be available in Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the U.S. will also get a "Catalogues" feature.

But now the company has released the feature in its WhatsApp Business app on both Android and iOS in several countries. The company has been steadily adding features to the app, and the latest addition is one that should help small and medium sized businesses quite a bit.

WhatsApp has today announced the launch of its new catalogues features for small business on WhatsApp Business application. Since WhatsApp has 1.5 Billion active users right now, it is obvious that businesses would want to take advantage of the platform's reach. WhatsApp says it will be rolling out the feature around the world soon. Prior to the update, entrepreneurs on WhatsApp would have to send a large collection of their products in different image formats to customers.

According to WhatsApp, it hosts these catalogs to save valuable storage space on the phones of both businesses and customers. India, Indonesia, and Brazil are at the forefront. There you will find the Catalog option.
