Amazon has launched its first portable Echo speaker, the Echo Input Portable Smart Speaker Edition. For the time being, the Echo Input Portable Smart Speaker Edition will be exclusive to India. While the latter is created to add Alexa smarts to your existing speaker system, the Echo Input Portable lacks any form of line-out capabilities. The Echo can last 11 hours of standby on battery (but to extend battery life, Amazon recommends that you plug it in when youre not using it).

"Customers in India love Alexa, and told us that they want to carry their Echo device from room to room so that they can have an uninterrupted hands-free Alexa experience".

For those in the West, there are some third-party accessories created to bring portability to the Amazon Echo.

The speaker boasts all the trademark features of the Echo series such as the Alexa voice assistant which can answer queries, make a call, play music and control other compatible smart devices at home.

Mitsuji Fukumoto, a Peshawar-kai spokesman, told a press conference in Fukuoka the group has "no idea" who carried out the attack. Nakamura first arrived in the region in 1984, when he began working in the Leprosy Ward of a Pakistani hospital.

While users will find everything improved in the new Echo Input, however, in terms of performance, the new smart speaker, which weighs - 581grams - comparatively lower than its earlier versions, won't be able to deliver as much sound like the earlier devices due to lower power supply. How about it, folks, would you like to see this thing rapidly expanded to the U.S. and other countries?

If you're living in India, you don't need to worry about these third-party accessories. "We're excited to offer this new Alexa experience in India, and we can not wait to see how our Indian customers enjoy the flexibility of a portable Alexa in their homes", Parag Gupta, Head of Amazon Devices India said in a press release.

What sets it apart from nearly every other Echo speaker is that it packs a 4,800mAh battery, which allows it to play 10 hours of music without being plugged into the wall.

Amazon later rectified the issue, which was presumably to save battery life on the rechargeable product, but the Tap was still discontinued past year in the United States - suggesting that users didn't flock to it after the action that gave it its name was dropped from the product. It is originally priced at Rs 5,999. Amazon will start shipping out units on December 18. It is a rechargeable battery and you get a microUSB based charging port at the back.
