"It is with great joy that our family welcomes you to the White House this holiday season as we celebrate the Spirit of America", President Donald Trump, the first lady and their son, Barron, say in the signed introduction to a souvenir book that visitors will receive as a holiday keepsake. "I am delighted to share this attractive exhibit of patriotism for all to see, and excited for everyone to experience the beauty of the #Christmas season!" she tweeted Monday morning, along with a video of herself, going room to room, tweaking and inspecting the details, a cupful of fake snow in one hand to sprinkle on branches of some of the 58 trees.

So the White House really had to step up the decorating game this year to please the American people. "I think they look fantastic".

The holiday season is in full swing at The White House!

The first lady tweeted a short video of herself admiring the decorations and applying some finishing touches as she strolled around the White House.

You can use the Master Sword pickup to transform Mario into Link if you're playing in the 8-bit Super Mario Bros . style. During the event, players will be ranked by their play time in that course and can collect new stamps and Mii costumes.

Speaking of tree ornaments, the camera made sure to zero in on a Scrabble-themed decoration spelling out the name of the first lady's grammatically challenged and nebulously defined anti-bullying and/or anti-opioid abuse initiative Be Best.

The video also shows a hallway that's been seemingly transformed into a scene out of Frozen, with white snowflakes hanging in an icy arch around those who walk through.

The White House has been turned into a winter wonderland for Christmas 2019. The tree stands over five metres tall and comes from Pennsylvania.

President Trump did not mention the White House makeover in an early-morning Twitter tirade Monday, before he departed for a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in the United Kingdom.
