Naturally, talk has already turned to a Pacquiao-McGregor fight. And, we may have gotten a clue Tuesday night.

These were the words of UFC superstar Conor McGregor after it was announced on Wednesday morning that Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao has signed with the same agency that represents the Irish fighter, Paradigm Sports Management.

"I am proud to partner with Paradigm Sports Management and am excited for the opportunities that Audie Attar and PSM have to offer", Pacquiao said in a statement. Although McGregor is considerably bigger and younger than Pacquiao, he lost to the far less aggressive Mayweather by knockout, meaning that the fast and hard punching Pacquiao would likely prove to be a formidable foe in the ring.

McGregor has been widely tipped for a return to boxing after since his first foray into the sport in August 2017 against Floyd Mayweather.

"One thing I want everyone to remember is to always think positively".

Man due in court charged with murder of Lyra McKee
McKee, 29, was shot dead while reporting on riots in Londonderry, April 18, 2019, in the heavily Catholic Creggan neighbourhood. Yesterday afternoon, one of those arrested, a 52-year-old man from Derry, was charged with Ms McKee's murder.

As we have previously written, there are also rumors of a potential Mayweather Pacquiao rematch for later in 2020 as well.

Abdulmanap told TACC: "Mayweather has statistics on fights of 50 wins and zero losses, he is the greatest in boxing".

However Mayweather is now 43 and been retired for over two and half years, and Pacquiao is now 41.

McGregor meanwhile recently made his return to the UFC, beating Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone last month in ruthless fashion with a 60-second KO. And, his flamboyant Muhammad Ali-like promotional personality would definitely sell hundreds of thousands of pay-per-views on that alone.

"Welcome to the team Emmanuel", McGregor tweeted. Both fights took place while Pacquiao was signed with Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions. He easily outpointed Adrien Broner in January 2019 to retain a secondary welterweight belt and then outpointed Keith Thurman in July to take his "super" title in one of the best performances of his career.
