"In addition to the App Retailer, developers can opt for to arrive at all Iphone and iPad people more than the internet by means of Safari and other browsers on the Application Store". Unfortunately, we do not have a path to bring our vision of cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to gamers on iOS via the Apple App Store.

Microsoft terminated its xCloud game streaming test on iOS on Wednesday after announcing the xCloud app will only be launching on Android devices in September.

This comes after years of development into pairing the Xbox Game Pass subscription, which now allows users to download and play games on their console or PC, and Microsoft's Project xCloud streaming service. Apple stands on your own as the only typical objective platform to deny shoppers from cloud gaming and sport subscription expert services like Xbox Sport Move. Due to Apple's App Store guidelines, users will be limited to engaging with livestreams - the mini-game functionality has been cut from the iOS version.

Apple cites the App Store guidelines that ban cloud services because they make apps accessible that Apple can't review on a title-by-title basis.

Our Project xCloud preview TestFlight period has ended on iOS and we are focused on delivering cloud gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to Android customers beginning September 15.

Furthermore, the company also references the ESRB and other regional equivalents to the USA video game rating board as evidence that Apple could use third-party content evaluations in deciding whether to allow cloud gaming apps onto iOS. In a statement given to Business Insider Apple tried to put a positive spin on the decision to block these big name game streaming services from its mobile platform. Furthermore, not only do all games need to be reviewed, but they must also be searchable on the App Store.

Microsoft says that Apple is unfairly enforcing the rules of its App Store, specifically that it treats gaming apps differently than other media services.

This isn't the first time Facebook has been forced to downplay games on its services for iOS.

I think it's clear that cloud gaming is the future. "It's not. ~95% of app activity on Android is from watching livestreams".

"All games offered in the Xbox Match Pass catalog are rated for content by impartial industry rankings bodies these kinds of as the ESRB and regional equivalents".

Apple, in a statement to Business Insider, said it denies cloud platform game apps listing on the app store because the games available on streaming platforms can not be reviewed individually through its Game pass service.

Apple has blocked Challenge xCloud on iOS. While Facebook runs the world's largest social network and owns many popular apps such as Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp, Apple controls their distribution through its App Store.
