Pep Guardiola says he only has 13 fit players in his Manchester City squad following their 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night.

Pep Guardiola has suggested Liam Delap will get more chances after the 17-year-old striker marked his Manchester City debut with a goal. "We will use him", Guardiola said.

Leicester City, meanwhile, have won both of their opening games in the Premier League and the Foxes now sit at the top of the table heading into this weekend's round of fixtures.

City were already without Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo and Oleksandr Zinchenko to face Bournemouth through injury, while Ilkay Gundogan is self-isolating after contracting Covid.

The powerful forward, son of former Stoke midfielder Rory, put City ahead against Bournemouth with a fine strike from just inside the box while Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle also acquitted themselves well. He's a striker we don't have - strong and good in the air. Nobody cares for the players.

"But we had 11 months playing incredible games, then the players had two or three weeks and had to come back and play another season".

Powell faces lawmakers' skepticism on some Fed aid programs
You know, I've said on a number of occasions, I think it's likely that we'll need more fiscal support. Asked by reporters Thursday if she had heard from Mnuchin, Pelosi said "I spoke to him yesterday".

"Disappointed that we lost, their first goal I didn't feel was a goal, I thought it should have been a free-kick on Sam Surridge and ultimately that had a big impact on the game".

"Everyone - the Premier League, UEFA, EFL - has defended their own business and position".

"With the worldwide teams, the federations need to play games for qualification for the Euros, the World Cup because it's Uefa and Fifa's responsibility to organise their own tournaments".

Guardiola said: "If the players are good and have desire and work ethic every day we'll give them the chances."

The situation that we have right now is we have just 13 players available in the first team. "They are not machines".
