When I had a kidney transplant, I remember that it was very hard to show my scar at first. This renowned singer, puts out a heartfelt post about her insecurity in front of her 193 million Instagram followers. "I didn't want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up", she wrote. Now, more than ever, I feel confident with who I am and what I faced... and I'm proud of that.

She further went on to declare that "all bodies are beautiful" tagging the bathing suit designer.

In the caption of the photo, Gomez appeared to show support for a friend's women empowerment project and swimsuit brand while sharing a special message about how she has learned to embrace her body.

"So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering".

Speaking about being sexualised earlier in her career, Selena explained: "I just did things that weren't really me. here was pressure to seem more adult on my album, "Revival". There were rumors that her-then boyfriend Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, would be the one to donate the organ (he hinted as much on the track Call Out My Name when he sang, "I nearly cut a piece of myself for your life"). "I'm incredibly blessed. I adore you so much sis".

She later described the transplant as a "life-or-death" move during an interview with 'Today'. She also mentioned about the fact that even her friend Francia Raisa has the same ink.
