Taylor Swift's 'Folklore' Now Spends Eight Nonconsecutive Weeks Atop Billboard 200

Folklore was the first album to sell a million copies in 2020, Billboard.com reported.

After becoming the first K-pop girl group to rank No. 2 on the Billboard main album chart, BLACKPINK has set another record by becoming the first all-female act to sell more than 1 million albums, its agency said Monday.

Following weeks of roaming around the top ten, Taylor Swift's "Folklore" is now back at the top spot of Billboard 200.

In addition to receiving new song certifications, Swift grabbed a platinum album certification for her 2020 release "folklore".

Taylor's record with total weeks at No 1 now stands at 47, one more than Whitney's tally of 46, which she had held since 1987. "Folklore" and "Lover" are the only albums released in 2019 and 2020 to sell a million copies in the U.S.

"The Album" is the first full-length album BLACKPINK has dropped since its debut in 2016. Swift additionally received 2x platinum awards for "Me!" and "Lover" (2 million), and a platinum certification for "The Man" (1 million).

Swift also shared that there might be "the aromatic scent of white wine" in the package because she occasionally spilled her glass during this round of autographs.
