Five New COVID-19 Cases in Mason County Wednesday

Jackson County Public Health reported two new deaths attributed to coronavirus on Wednesday, alongside 108 newly identified cases.

There have been two additional COVID-19-related deaths of Livingston County residents, bringing the total to 37. The county's testing rate per 1,000 people was 305.

Just three weeks ago, the two counties had a rate of 168 new cases per 100,000 residents, down significantly from the 573 cases per 100,000 reported August 4, the first week of the thermographic.

The positivity rate had fallen to as low as 3.57 percent in late September before steadily increasing each week.

The IDPH reports the person was a male in his 90s.

"Starting today, November 18, Oregon will be in a statewide Two-Week Freeze to stop the rapid spread of COVID-19 across Oregon", Jackson County Public Health said.

All eyes remain on Lake County as it was the only county in Northeast Ohio to make it on DeWine's top 20 counties with the highest occurrence of COVID-19 cases.

The beginning of the surge could be seen in COVID-19 test results updated Wednesday.

LARUE COUNTY. LaRue County had 20 new COVID-19 cases reported Thursday, bringing the county total to 511 cases.
