How to enable WhatsApp disappearing messages feature on Android, iOS and KaiOS

This feature can be enabled on WhatsApp's Android and iOS apps, and from WhatsApp Web as well. The new feature that was spotted will allow users to mute videos before sending it further.

Before you proceed, make sure that you've the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your smartphone.

Note: I tested the disappearing messages feature on WhatsApp version # on my OnePlus Nord, running Android 10.

Open a WhatsApp chat tap Contact Info scroll down to find the **Disappearing Messages feature.

The feature is available for individual as well as group chats. As the name suggests, the feature allows user to send messages that will appear for a limited period of time.

If you want the messages to disappear momentarily after you send them, you should stick with Snapchat or Telegram.

When you put a conversation under "Read Later", you will not receive new notifications from the chat. You can follow the same process to disable it.

Disappearing messages will also wipe out photos and videos after seven days, and while messages will disappear for both parties it's still possible to take screenshots or just simply copy messages before they are automatically deleted. However, media files saved on the device will remain.
