Of course, as with any of Marvel's Avengers' other playable characters, Kate Bishop will have plenty of new outfits to unlock. Next-gen versions are set to launch in 2021, and existing players can upgrade for free while maintaining their progress. Meanwhile, the new villain shown on display in the War Table Deep Dive is the Super Adaptoid, a cosmic being capable of copying the powers and abilities of all of the heroes in Marvel's Avengers.

The first post-launch arc is called "Operation taking AIM" and will focus on Kate as she attempts to find and recover Hawkeye, while also uncovering an AIM plot and unsafe new enemy, the Super Adaptoid.

Crystal Dynamics details Kate Bishop in a recently released War Table video.

Marvel's Avengers is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia, while the Operation: Kate Bishop - Taking AIM DLC will arrive on December 8th. Her mentor, original Hawkeye Clint Barton, seems to be trapped in another timeline, so the Avengers have to screw with temporal physics to try to get him back. She can pick off baddies from afar thanks to her master archer skills, and she can get up close and do damage as an expert swordsman. She also has the ability to teleport using her arrows, which seems weird but whatever, it's a comic book game. The replace will even add new skins for Kate Bishop, which gamers can each earn in-game or buy within the retailer.

Square Enix's War Table also provided a quick look at the next Operation, which features Hawkeye in a grim future setting and is set to arrive in early 2021.
