Three COVID-19 deaths in Bowie County since Thursday

For perspective, Scott County had fewer than 340 total cases of coronavirus from March all the way through October 20.

Prior to Monday, the most cases that had been reported in Scott County in a single day was 38, reported on Friday.

Russell County now has 337 total cases since the pandemic began with 87 of them currently active and in isolation.

This week's death was a male in the 75 to 84 age range who had been hospitalized at the time of his death, health department spokesperson George Diepenbrock said. That puts the seven-day average for the county at 377.

There are now 930 active cases and 1,670 residents have been released to normal activity.

This is the highest daily increase of cases.

However, Trump, a Republican, has alleged election fraud and mounted legal fights in a number of battleground states. But hours later he made U-turn tweeting, "RIGGED ELECTION".

"We have hired additional contact tracers, but it's still not enough to keep up with the demand", said Health Commissioner Julianne Nesbit.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 7,559 new COVID-19 cases Sunday on a volume of 63,593 tests for a positivity rate of 11.8%.

12, Clermont County had a rate of 410 new cases per 100,000 residents.

The new cases, which work out to an average of just over 103 cases per day, bring the county's total number of COVID-19 cases to 6,470 to date, according to Public Health data.

The number of current hospitalizations remains at 16 and a total of eight COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in Lake County. The discrepancy between the two departments has been attributed to different reporting methods. Howard County reports 411 total cases, 9 deaths, 467 recoveries, and 166 active cases.
