Golden State did not reveal the severity of the injury, but multiple sources told NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole that the leg injury "looked bad".

Thompson reportedly suffered the injury in an open run with multiple other National Basketball Association players and subsequently could not place any weight on his right leg, needing to be helped out of the gym.

Thompson suffered the injury during a workout in Southern California, NBA.com reported. Another report said that Thompson has a torn Achilles, but it's still not yet confirmed.

Wiseman joins a Warriors team that finished 15-50 in a season where two-time MVP Stephen Curry appeared in just five games while Klay Thompson missed the entirety of the season while rehabbing a torn ACL.
