Student optimism falling, but remain connected to school

A new set of rules that requires "live" teaching time and daily check-ins in hybrid and remote learning MA school districts went into effect Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Students say opening of the schools is much better for preparing for board examinations.

Schools reopened on Monday after over 10 months of being closed in view of coronavirus pandemic.

Prince, a student at Delhi government school, said, "The online classes were a great help for theoretical subjects but the practical subjects were a challenge".

Daily Live Check-Ins: Students must have the opportunity to interact with teachers each school day including a daily "live" check-in between students and teachers.

The school put up posters of "welcome back" in corridors where teachers stood with sanitisers and checked the temperature of each student before letting them in. "We are expecting that the number of children in the school will increase in the coming days".

According to the notice by the Delhi Government, only schools outside containment zones will be allowed to reopen. I am taking all COVID-19 precautions.

In the second and final phase, schools would reopen for classes from Pre-1 to Class 8 while public and private universities would also reopen from February 01. A lot of them gave their concurrence to reopen schools for classes 10 and 12. There will be no physical activity in the schools and guidelines have to be displayed everywhere.
