Palestinian militants have stockpiled enough missiles to continue bombing Israel for the next two months, security experts have warned, as escalating fighting led the United Nations to warn of "all-out war".

Israel said that Hamas used the buildings.

Civilians were warned to evacuate before the strikes, the Israeli military said on Wednesday.

Bassem Issa was the highest-ranking military figure in Hamas to be killed Israel since 2014.

"We condemn the firing of rockets from Gaza against civilian populations in Israel by Hamas and other militant groups which is totally unacceptable and must stop immediately", the statement said. Wednesday's statement was the first time Hamas acknowledged the death of militants in this round of fighting with Israel.

The rocket that fell last May was the heaviest debris to fall uncontrolled since the former Soviet space station Salyut 7 in 1991. The non-profit Aerospace Corp . expects the debris to hit the Pacific near the equator after passing over eastern US cities.

Israel's Magen David Adom ambulance service said a 50-year-old woman was killed when a rocket hit a building in the Tel Aviv suburb of Rishon Lezion, and that two women had been killed in rocket strikes on Ashkelon on Tuesday.
